Frequently asked questions
There are many soap making processes. The 1st is "Melt & Pour", you simply Melt it and Pour it into Molds. The 2nd Process is "Cold Process", you mix all the oils then add your Sodium Hydroxide/water solution until a thick trace and pour into molds. The 3rd process is "Hot Process" this is done many ways, but mostly in a crockpot. You simply add all the ingredients and cook until it looks like Applesauce, then you put it into your molds. We at Twisted Sisters use both Hot and Cold Process methods. The Hot Process method your soap will look more rustic, while the Cold Process will have a smoother consistancy. That is how you will be able to tell how your soap was made. The melt and pour process comes out looking smooth as well. It is a very easy process for beginners who are afraid to handle sodium hydroxide.
